Policy advice
- As a member of NCAS-funded staff, I am working with the Queensland Government to investigate drivers of natural variability in Queensland's rainfall and the implications of climate change for water resources in the state. The goal of the project is to determine the drivers of historical variations in Queensland's rainfall, assess the ability of climate models to represent those drivers and their effects, then use that information to constrain the models' predictions of rainfall for the next several decades. This research is part of a collaboration between the University of Reading's Walker Institute for Climate System Research and the Queensland Climate Change Centre of Excellence, which is part of the Department of Environment and Resource Management., (Foreign Governments), March 2010
