Hi. I’m currently working as part of the mid-life upgrade project for the FAAM Airborne Laboratory developing a pulsed scanning Doppler lidar for operation on the aircraft. I’ll be generally helping out with any aspects of this that I can, writing software for data analysis and operation of the lidar in flight and developing applications of the lidar for atmospheric research. I have a background in the development of scanning pulsed and continuous wave lidars and their application in wind energy having worked in R&D for Wood Group (formerly SgurrEnergy ), ZX Lidar (formerly ZephIR Lidar) and as a Wind Engineer for Natural Power Consultants designing wind-farms.
