My current roles are: Project Manager for the TerraFIRMA /UK Earth System Modelling (UKESM) project and knowledge integration for CANARI and EU projects, ESM2025 and OptimESM.

Previous roles included:

  • consultancy projects with the Research Councils and the water industry on urban water simulators; creating impact workshops with researchers, Water in Future Cities showcase event; leading a Belmont Forum Workshop on Coastal Vulnerabilities 
  • writing the Research Chapter in the UK's 6th National Communication for the UNFCCC (Climate Change) 
  • impact strategy, and development of a series of impact case studies for the environmental sciences
  • Head of Strategic Management at NERC - including leading the development of the NERC Strategy, Spending Review submissions, business planning and performance, and economic impact of research study. Deputy Director of NERC Swindon Office - leading the business planning for 350 staff and £14m budget.
  • European Research Liaison and National Expert in European Commission funded programme in Brussels
  • research at CEH and AERE Harwell in environmental chemistry.
