I am an international development professional with a background in project management in the non-profit and private sectors. I joined the University of Leeds in August 2018 as Monitoring and Evaluation & Capacity-Building lead for GCRF-AFRICAP, a major programme to make agriculture and food production in sub-Saharan Africa more productive, sustainable and resilient to climate change with partners in Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, the UK and Zambia. I joined NCAS in January 2020 to act as interim programme manager for GCRF African SWIFT, a programme working with partners across the UK, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Niger, Kenya and the United Nations’ World Meteorological Organization to develop sustainable African weather forecasting capability, enhancing the livelihood of African populations and improving the economies of their countries. Following this temporary role, I have stayed on with the GCRF African SWIFT team to lead on monitoring and evaluation activities, allowing me to track progress and share learning across these two large strategic programmes.
